Blackberry and Memory Management
Is it just me or has Blackberry not addressed its memory management issues?
I have around 8 downloaded apps on my STORM and I guarantee that I have been doing hard resets nonstop. There is not a day that goes by where I don't have to hard reset. Some hangs cause me to miss phone calls and worse, not know who was calling in the first place. If I can get there (options), I check memory and notice it's at 0.0K and at that point memory cleaning doesn't help. It may take about a minute for the "think clock" to get off the screen so I can get to my messages. Furthermore, this is happening with the latest software update.
I don't think it's fair to limit the amount of app I can put on 1G of storage for the sake of a smoother running phone...

Better memory management is in the works for the Storm. 5.x will have a screen that pops up telling you when memory is low and giving you options to delete rarely used apps and close programs.
If you haven't alreay, get in the habit of closing apps the correct way. Sometimes you may think you have closed them but they are still in the backgound running.
If you press and hold the BB/Menu button, a popup will open that shows all your running apps. You can't close them all at once, but you can close them by going to the app and exiting one by one (sadly). When exiting an app, pressing the End button will exit but leave the app running in the background. To make sure an app is fully closed, press the BB/Menu button and select close.
