Samsung SPH-i700

I have my i700 for several years now, its been a learning experience.....for some reason the sound of the phone dies, thanks to the extended warranty one call takes care of that, but is seems to me that the earpiece plug-in has something to do with it, I use a Bluetooth adapter, (I wish Samsung had installed one in the phone!)...when it is taken out to be recharged it leaves "something" pressed inside the jack hole that makes the phone believe that it is still on, my question is does anyone had heard of this problem? Has Samsung released any updates for a Bluetooth upgrade? please advice
