How do i turn off vibrate for emails. i want the phone to vibrate when it rings but not vibrate for emails.

you can't on this phone's os. what you need to do is go to custom profiles, under the sound profile menu, and create your own profile with your own specific settings.
This will allow you to set which notifications will vibrate and so on.
