Advanced Task Killer

Maybe I just don't understand the app...even when "killing" certain apps, they reappear when open ing up ATK again...these apps include Cardio Training, Locale, Corporate Calender (all the above, I have not opened nor am I running)...anyone can explain?

Also, why does going under menu>settings>applications>running services only show: android keyboard, email and google, even when ATK shows 11 or so running apps?

Finally, can anyone clarify the meaning of the memory remarks at the bottom of the running services screen:

ie Avail 14MB+93MB in 17 Other 46MB in 3

It is possible for an app to register to start itself back up on termination.

Looking at what cardio Trainer does (ie, map your path to help you see how far your walking each day) it is pretty reasonable that it would expect thazt you would want it running, and set itself to auto-restart.

If you don't want/use it, uninstall it.

Locale states it "dynamically manages your phone settings based on conditions such as location and time".... again, it's pretty reasonable to assume if you install it, that you want it running. After all, it would be pretty embarassing to expect that your phone wil automatically put itself on vibrate you you get to church, only to find you hadn't restarted locale so it didn't....or you get a twitter at 2am a...
