My Pictures look awful as wallpaper
I wanted to use one of the pictures in my gallery as the background wallpaper for my home page.
When I open my gallery and select the picture, it fills the entire screen - perfect! Thats how I want it to look. However when I select SET AS Wallpaper, it makes me crop the picture then it zooms in so far that you can barely see the picture and the quality is horrible!!!! I have it set to SMALL and not large. I played around with the crop but get the same results everytime.

The aspect ratio you take pictures in is very different than what you can put as a background (even though it looks full screen). This is because Android uses the same "screen size" for all their phones.
Still working on getting it to look right myself, if I figure out anything, I'll let you know.

It's also worth pointing out that it stretches your picture to fill all three screens.
Might be worth mentioning, though I don't know if it is applicable here, that at least some of the third party desktop replacements do a very poor job of this, where the default home does slightly better. (of course, there's other advantages to some of those third party apps, too)
Might be better off using photoshop or something and scaling the picture to the appropriate resolution rather than cropping it.
Still playing with that, too.
