MMS Problem

I have heard about the Droid not sending MMS messages at all, but that is not my problem.
When I go to send a picture my Droid will usually flip the picture I'm sending, sideways. It seems to only happen when I'm sending portrait pictures, also.
Is this a bug or do I have a defective device?

I'd say neither.
portrait mode pictures are "sideways" from teh perspective of the camera.
the messaging app can't tell the difference. Maybe the camera should tag the picture with the orientation, but as far as I can tell, it doesn't. (if it does, then the messaging app needs to be able to read the tag)
Anyway, the solution is to open the gallery, and rotate the picture, then send the rotated picture.
My Dare had the same problem; I'm pretty sure my wife's EnV2 does as well.

This phone has an accelerometer, so it knows if I'm taking a portrait or landscape picture, right? Because when I open the picture in the gallery it shows it in it's right orientation. It's just when I go to send it, is when the picture gets flipped.

The Droid knows what orientation your in to take the picture but what mupi was saying is the messaging doesn't make the adjustments and it may also depend on what device your sending it to. Does it show it incorrectly on your device or the device your sending it to? I need to try this myself so I can give you a better answer.

It happens when I send it to anyone or any device. It shows up correctly in my gallery, but once I go to send it in MMS, that's when it gets flipped. I'm pretty sure it's a bug..
