Change in Storing Apps?

Heymjo

I don't know a lot about the technology, so forgive my naivete here. I may have this wrong, but I thought I read that one of the complaints about the Droid is that apps are stored on internal memory, not on the memory card, and that there are plans afoot to change that. If so, will that be a software change or will that require the latest version of the phone? I am thinking about switching from my BB Tour to the Droid, especially because of the apps that are available, but don't know if I should wait until this changeover is made. Thanks.

It will be a software change, not hardware. They are basically working out a way to encrypt app data so it is secure on your SD card.

Once they do this, you'll most likely see a pretty big influx of paid apps and games

Droid is getting 2.1.

I went from the Tour myself. I miss the keys on the tour, but the Droid is amazing.
