"I could go either way" Review

It's comforting to know that some people's gripes about the Droid Eris are user errors, not legitimate flaws...

"1. Screen lock easily unlocks without an unlock pattern. It also locks the screen immediately without allowing a setting to time the wait before lock."

Incorrect. There ARE settings for this. It coincides with the screen timeout setting.

"2. Keeps shutting off and requesting a force shutdown due to unexpected Android OS error."

That's probably for one of two reasons:

01) You've got one or more downloaded apps that cause the aforementioned errors.

02) You've got a phone that has a botched OS installation, or you (or someone else) did a factory reset on it (a known issue).

"3. Cannot download or save pictures sent via MMS."

You probably had Wi-Fi enabled. It's pretty much a given that certain data services won't work while you're on Wi-Fi.

"4. Cannot use nails to touch"

It's a capacitive touch screen, not a resistive touch screen. Of course your nails don't activate the screen.

Overall, I'm actually quite pleased with the reviews here.
