Just received the new v600 from a friend that is head of cell phones @ Motorola. The phone is really great but still has some bugs to fix in it. Apparently there is another software update in which i need to get done. I am using it for T-mobile and it seems to be working great so far. According to my source..the v600 is going to be first released to att and then later to other carriers. Everyone that sees the phone says it is very sleek and would like to purchase one themselves. Used to have the v300 which was also great but i like the v600 alot better. They both use the same software. All in all...this is a great phone with everything i ever need for right now!
what bugs have you come across? do you like the interface? how is the vibrate mode? since this phone is only going tobe carried by attws, how would we get software upgrades if we go with different carriers? i dont think motorola has updates for phones on their websites, but i could be wrong.
Apparently the v300 had this same problem that my v600 is having now. When a call comes in and I flip the phone open the screen is delayed and it takes a few seconds to open up. I guess there is an upgrade on this. I have the old SW. The interface is pretty cool. Same as v300 but just has blue tooth and the lights on the front of the phone. The vibrate mode is good. As far as the software updates...I get mine through my connection at Motorola. He takes care of me. Right now, I have t-zones with T-mobile but i can't use it because the phone isn't being recognized by the tmobile server. My connection said he would look into it and see what he can do....Hope this answers your questions.
