I've been a nokia guy ever since I got my first cell phone and I was wondering in all honesty what is the difference between nokia and motorola. I have never had a flip phone and I wanted to make the V600 my first because Ive heard alot of good things. Is it worth it? Or should I stay with my nokia 3650?

Owning the 3600 from CINGULAR for 8 months, I find two features almost indispensable.

First is the 'loudspeaker' function. Perfect for listening to messages and the wife's rantings when the earpiece is in the car! Also great while on hold with any customer service department. Just set it down, activate the 'loudspeaker' and do something else!

For me, the greatest feature is the detailed phone & address book. Lots of features, numbers AND addresses to customize. Amazing that most phones have no address book, just a phone book.

I'm sure there are other features the V600 may not have and the 3600/3620/3650 series does, but these are the two most important for me.

the v600 actually has both of those features.. i have the v400 currently and it has a speakerphone on it, and its' great, i push speaker phone and then close it and leave it on my desk and can talk on it, and hear on it anywhere in my room.... also on the phone book.. you can add upto i think 5 numbers per name, add voice activated dialing, add pictures, add individual or group ringtones... you have tons of features, and all of these are implemented into the V600 as well...

v600 might be an good phone to start on, however, from what i hear the price isnt' as pretty as most people think it's going to be..

I work for the Post Office so I get half off on the phones, I just want to know in the long run will I regret getting a motorola or even a flip phone in general.

MAC:

A phone book is not an address book.

Show me where you enter someone's street address, city, state & zip code in a V400 or V600?

Don't think it happens.

Will the V600 use a memory card & SIM card?
