Got an unbranded, unlocked V600

My patience slipped with the news of more delays, so I went ahead and splurged on an unbranded, unlocked US version of the V600 for $600 on ebay. Yeah I know it was a risk, considering it was ebay and all, but the seller wanted payment only through paypal, so that eased my concerns.

For those interested, the FLEX version is GC9V600000NA0DE, and SW version is TRIPLETS_G_0B.09.27R. Startup screen is the hellomoto one. As far as I can tell, this is actually more recent than the firmwares currently making rounds on the internet.

The really interesting thing is that the guy claims to have gotten it through a wholesaler. When I got it, the protective display covers were still on it, the clock was 00:00:00 Jan 1, 2000, and lifetime clock ...

No manual, although the seller included a CD-R with some quick-start-type PDF's. I've since gotten a hold of him and will be sending him the UK carrier-independent manual in PDF, so his future sales will include a manual.

The phone is unlocked, so it can be activated on any carrier by dropping in a SIM card from that carrier.

sweet.......does it come with ringtones, games, calculator, and what not? ie....is it just like a regular phone you would buy except no box? im just wondering because there are a few sellers that sell the v600s with no box and they have had feedback about the phone not coming with any software that a phone should come with.

thanx

There's a lot of ringtones, a few preloaded games (Stuntman and Bejeweled), all the apps, tools, bells & whistles you would expect.

The only thing it didn't come with that I would have liked is a manual. It came with a few quick-start PDF's, though.
