for what it's worth: Heard again from the Warner Bros AT&T REP. He further confirmed the second week in March for the v600, said the price should be approx. $399 to start and said that the Cingular-AT&T merge is so big and convoluted that AT&T and Cingular wireless customers will not see changes until well into 2005.

$399? Is that without the two year service contract? I've seen it listed a lot places as $299 w/ two year agreement.

He and I have had an on-goign dialogue and he knows I am presently Cingular, but I've told him I plan to switch, so I don't think he's thinking I want it wihtout a contract. Maybe he does and that's why so high, maybe it is a high price because of the demand, not sure...I think I will get a discount off of whatever the dealer list is because WB and AT&T are corporate partners. When I know more I will post, or if there are any ?s I can forward to the guy, let me know.

Absolutely, I agree. And my info is from someone at AT&T. He must be getting info from a higher up who's getting it from Motorola, so who knows? I am just thankful that I have a v60 from cingular which is a great phone and great service. i can wait for bluetooth. it's just insane how long it's taking...

Won't get into release dates (too volatile an issue here), BUT my corporate rep quoted the phone as $369.99 with a 40% discount on the phone plus 13% off the plan (NEW 2yr plan. I'm porting my number from another carrier). The phone will be 179.99 after discount before tax. You should check with whomever handles your corporate accountand find out how much of a discount you get because buying it that way (even for personal use) will save you major $$$. If the phone ever ships.
