Release date?
IS there any evidence that this phone might be released this monday? It fits in the early march catagory as well as after the awards.

ah, i see you paid close attention to his mention about the overall monotony of comments like yours.
i wish i knew for sure, but the monday release date would make sense. it'd be silly for the phone not to be made available to the US public after getting huge publicity the night before on the oscars. seeing as how motorola and at&t aren't providing any definite answers, I guess we'll just have to wait and see. 🙄

Does anyone remember how long it took Motorola to release last year's Oscar phone? That might be a good indicator... 🙄

I would think the word would be out by now at AT&T stores or somewhere if it was going to be released this coming Monday. I thought stores usually got a "dummy" phone sometime before release along with promo material, etc. sometime before release. I don't work at a store so I can't say for sure but that would seem to make sense from a retail perspective. I would think hot_md_guy would know by now if it was coming out Monday since he works at an AT&T cellular store.

AWE has not recieved a dummy phone yet. That is not really an indicator though. We got a demo for the Nokia 7250i which was never released. And we never got a demo for the NEC 525, it just sort've arrived.
No further word really from Motorola or anyone else above me. The last thing I had heard was within the first two weeks of March which at the very least seems possible. It does make sense about the delay with the Oscars, and as much as it sucks I know the tradition.
It's a wait and see. Motorola is once again proving they have the worst research and development, and definitly the worst marketing. No wonder they are losing market share like crazy worldwide. I am sure Samsung will surp...
