I know how you feel...I spend way too much time checking this site for information. I guess my main question now is whether or not AT&T is even worth switching to. I live in metro Detroit and I have Verizon service. The only reason I was thinking about to moving To AT&T is for this stupid phone. Is AT&T's GSM coverage coverage good in my area. Does anyone know?

I have AT&T AND I REALLY HATE IT. I've been on there plan for 2 years now waiting for it 2 b up in Aug. I nonstop get billed for nights and weekends and have to fight with the reps to fix it. The connection sucks. I get knocked off all the time. My friends and i tested 3 different phones. One from AT&T that was mine, the other was a t-mobile and the last was a Cingular. We all went into a k-mart and looked at the bars on our phone and guess who had the best???? T-mobile!!!! Cingular came in second and well you the last. We tested our phones all over N.J. and t-mobile was the only phone that had all the bars to dial out. Mine had nothing.We did this just for the hell of it cause we all were out and about and had different service. If i break ...

I'm in the Metro Detroit area and I have no issues what so ever with the GSM coverage. I have a bunch of friends that have Verizon and they seem to be even with one another. Of course one will have a poor area that the other doesn't, but again, that is with any service provider... with AT&T and Verizon, they seem to definitly be the best for that though in this area. GSM can carry more users per tower than CDMA and has a stronger (different type) signal that usually carries and switches towers much better, so you get less dropped calls and the such. I am verry happy with it. I have had GSM for over a year now and it has come a long way and it's way better than AT&T's TDMA service at least a year ago anyway. This area seems to be very s...
