V600 Addressbook limitations?

From reading the v600 manual, it would appear that the v600 addressbook can only hold phone-numbers and email addresses. This isn't useful for me, since I like to carry with me other contact info sync'd from MS Outlook, in particular street address info.

Can anyone confirm this limitation? And does anyone know of any work-arounds? Eg 3rd-party J2ME apps, or maybe ATTWS-supplied value-added apps?

Yes, this does appear to be the case. I have used the mobile phone tools that came with my phone to create my address book. It has entries for multiple phone nubmers, fax numbers, and email addresses on the phone. In the tool, I entered nearly complete contact information and notes.

I also would like more contact information in the phone.

The phone tools can be used in conjuction with my laptop using USB or serial. It is pretty well integrated so that I can scan through the contact list and find the number I'm looking for, and have the computer dial it.

Thanks for the confirmation. What a PITA. You'd think that this capability would be a no-brainer nowadays.

My existing phone (S46) has that capability and I don't think I'm willing to give it up. Maybe the V600 isn't the dream phone I hoped for ☹️

The MOTOROLA V600 address book limitation was the reason I purchased a NOKIA 3600.

Yea, it's funky and a bit unorthodox. But it has every phone, fax, address, http, email (and more) options you could use within a true address book feature.

Oh, the camera takes great images (for a phone camera) and are e-mailed easily.

Just wish all the 3600 features could have been crammed into a V600 shell!

Seems phones with a full address book feature are harder and harder to find.

Guess life could be worse!
