Hi!

I'm ready to go get a AT&T shared family plan for me and my family (total of 4 lines) ... I was wondering, which would be better:

1. Activate 4 free phones at the AT&T store and transfer the SIM card from one of those phones to my v600, so I have an extra phone for free. I'm wondering if the transfer would work ...
2. Or should I just get the plan and activate my v600 at the store and 3 free phones at the same time? I'm wondering if this is the best, if AT&T needs to program extra stuff in my v600 or not (my v600 is unlocked/sim-free)

Thanks!
Cass

I would go for 1. That way you have a backup phone. If your V600 is unlocked, just pop in the SIM and off you go. You'd have to ...

The sim card IS the activation on the phone... all you do is pop the sim in and your phone number, contacts (if you stored them in your sim) are all there.

The only thing the store does is notate on your account what type of phone you have (for their records... doesn't matter anymore anyway) and activate the sim. If you already have an active sim, you are all set.

Just go to the store and get your 4 phones, then when you get home, take the sim out of yours and throw it in the V600... it's that simple.
