1) What is "OEM"?

Text messaging works great on my v600, I didn't have to configure anything, but I bought 25 text messages per month from AT&T

OEM = Original Equipment Manufacturer(?) I think that's what it is .. an "OEM v600" means that it is a plain Motorola phone, without branding from companies that use their phone, like AT&T, Vodaphone 😛 , etc.
2. I put mMode on my phone by going to:

and followed the directions. Basically AT&T sends your phone a special text message that automatically sets everything up for you! 🙂
