Try this:

http://support.attws.wdsglobal.com/ »

then go to:

Configure Your Device (go) >
Configure mMode WAP Service (go) >
Select Mobile Device (v600) >
Submit Mobile Device Number (your v600's ph. #) >
write down the PIN

Then AT&T will send your v600 a message, "READ" it, the v600 will say "Browser Update is required", select "UPDATE", enter the PIN from above, then mMode should be automatically added to your phone 🙂

then make sure mMode is "default" ...

on your v600, go to:

Main Menu > WebAccess > Web Sessions

then scroll down until you see "mMode GPRS" and have it selected, then use the menu to "Set Default"

Then you should be all good to go 🙂

P.S. I know too much about this phone! 😲 😛

Thanks for the information on the V600. So, is the $575 the best price you found for the phone?

I am guessing you have not had any problems making it work? I am nervous about the costs and then having AT&T "block" it somehow and me be stuck with a $600 paperweight. Any regrets, or reasons to not do this? I am currently using a T721...and actually sort of like it...but the V600 just seems so much better and I am tired of waiting for AT&T to release it. I would imagine that once I but it from premix, AT&T will release it the next week.

Also, seriously, you have offered enough information to help me immensely, if you need a SIM card, just let me know. I probably have 4-5 that I am not using. Simply provide an address, and I will se...

$575 is the best price I've found ... I figure I actually paid closer to $400 for the phone itself ... the rest of the $ paid for the headset, connection tools, and the extra covers.

I haven't had any problems with my v600 ... I doubt AT&T could block it in any way because, if they activate other unlocked phones people bring in, why would they block a v600? I don't have any regrets buying my v600. An AT&T v600 would probably have alot of things locked, and if you go overseas or anywhere out of AT&T coverage, you might not be able to use your phone at all.

It was worth it for me - I guess everyone else has to make their own choice 🙂

And thanks for the offer for the SIM card, I appreciate it, but it's not necessary 🙂 I give my advi...

If you want to do it yourself instead of doing it with a text message.
