FIRMWARE HIJINX ON WINDOWS FOR V600

I've been trying to upgrade the firmware for a few days now and am having trouble. Not due to any incompetence on my part but maybe to my lack of true familiarity with Windows systems. Tried last week on a Windows2000 Pro machine: no dice, the PST and Motorola software would not acknowledge the driver, kept giving me an error about digital signature? Tried again two times, once on Win98 and another again on 2000Pro. Don't have XP (except virtual PC and I know that will not work). My question is, can anyone here provide a detailed step by step on how to Flex and Flash and what operating system you did it successfully with.

I forgot to mention that any driver I install "p2k 2.3" ends with a seemingly successful instal and reboot and then asks to repeat the process over of loading a new driver for new device as soon as the machine reboots. Nice. Windows.
