T-Mobile Rocks!! ATTWS really sucks!!!

One has to take whatever hot_md_guy says with a big scoop of salt, especially since we all know he is an AT&T attack dog.

I personally dislike AT&T due to bad customer service experiences in the past with their other businesses. I have no experience with ATTWS, but when I inquired about GSM service at a store, the Manager told me they had received a lot of complaints about signal strength/service in my area. She wanted me to sign up for their TDMA service. Not!

I have since signed up with T-Mobile and their signal strength/service is excellent. They are leaving ATTWS in the dust in pricing and customer service. If ATTWS was so great how come they've been sold?

This is a long response, please bear with it and read on...

I don't work for any of the wireless carriers, and as people here know, I've been fairly neutral on service provider issues, but I am inclined to address this post.

1. Most people who have had problems with CS have had these problems due to the fact that more likely than not they are trying to get something for nothing, or next to nothing. I have had nothing but great experiences with customer service since I switched to AT&T from Verizon.

2. Signal strength depends on where you are, no matter what service you are subscribed to. Anyone that tells you that their GSM coverage is "perfect" is lying. However, with the merger, and the fact that AT&T is activating, on the av...

#1 AT&T's customer service issues primarily have to do with the hold times! Not the content of what I'm asking for. Last night I called to add a larger mmode package. I was on hold for 18 minutes. Then, when the guy answered, he said he'd take care of it and put me on hold for another 8 minutes while he tried to add the feature. Thats simple stuff..! They're always saying "my computer is slow today."

#2 It is a fact that AT&T's in network GSM coverage is less than T-Mobile's. Just look at the map. They rely on partner's like Cingular to cover most interstates. And I do know from personal experience that T-Mobile's signal is consistently stronger than AT&T. I've used my both chips in my phone. I'm in sales and travel quite frequently and h...

Just one question, and please don't take this the wrong way (well, if you want to, no big deal).....

Can anyone other than you EVER be right about something, or do you ALWAYS have to contradict them and TRY to prove them wrong? You keep saying that you have service through AT&T but you have got to be the biggest T-Mobile mark I have ever seen.

You would swear that God placed his hand down on you and said "Memillh06, I can't be there every day, why don't you take over for me when I'm away from the office...."

And you said that AT&T corporate had nothing to do with the acquisition, or that it was irrelevant? Puhleeese, AT&T Wireless was what is called a "Wholly Owned Subsidiary of AT&T". In your third grade terms, this means that...

I thought it was a little debate on wireless services - a DEBATE. Your previous email was a novel so obviously you had a position too. You responded to SULTAN's message, I was just responding to yours. Sorry, I didn't know responding to you was against forum rules.

The "memillh06 uses a vibrator" low blow wasn't even called for or funny. I digress, this is turning into a "geek-like dungeons & dragons" debate. Get a life and cool out..

I guess you're right, AT&T Wireless is the best GSM service in the universe..whatever..new thread please..

I used to ask my customers 2 questions:

#1 Do you travel often? (disney world once a year doesn't count)

#2 Do you mostly fly?

#3 If you drive, do you travel the interstate mostly?

Many customer's fall into these categories and don't even realize it. For many, it works, for some it doesn't. Don't try comparing T-Mobile to Verizon because its apples and oranges. Cingular seems to have the largest "in-network" GSM coverage followed by T-Mobile and lastly AT&T Wireless when you cut out the roaming fee areas.
