You don't get it unlocked, what is with you people, if you want an unlocked phone, go on ebay and pay the 600.00 for it!!!! When you buy the V600 from AT&T Wireless, the phone will run you 369.99 with no contract, 339.99 with a 1 year and 299.99 with a 2 year. THe phones that are sold by AT&T Wireless are meant to be used ONLY on the AT&T Wireless network. And NO we don't know the unlock codes for them either!!! So once again, if you want unlocked, GET IT ON EBAY!!!!

Wow...so much tension on the boards lately. I guess that wasn't as bad as MD_Techie making jokes about using "my sister's vibrator" last night because I think T-Mobile has better reception than AT&T in my neighborhood. Peace...Peace...

Anyways, to the guy who was asking "why would you want to unlock an AT&T V600," the question really should be "why not?" Your resale value goes up, you've got the latest version of the V600 unlocked, and being unlocked, you don't have ...

Let me begin by saying TMOBILE RULES>>>>>

Ok, now that I got that out of my system I guess the real question is why have an unlocked phone (which many of us bought from Plemix) to turn around and sell them to get an AT&T Locked phone only to try to get it unlocked again??? WHAT???

Besides keeping an unlocked phone is probably best choice b/c you won't have any power up logos nor is the phone logo-ed for any specific carrier so when you do opt to go to another carrier here in the US, you won't have an AT&T phone on TMo or Cingular service.....

I think that's the true issue.

My opinion, everyone go to TMOBILE>>>>>>>>

Sorry MrFisch13, you happen to be wrong on this one. It is against AT&T Wireless corporate policy to sell any piece of equipment without attaching it to an account. The only way to get an AT&T phone without service would be through an indirect dealer. The reason for this is they make their own policies and just have agreements with carriers to sell their service.
