Unlocking for Suncom

Hello Everyone, I'm new to this board but you all look very knowledgable so I figured I'd ask a few questions.

I bought a V600 Unlocked and plan to use it on Suncom. (they are in VA south, and use AT&T's network) Is there anything I need to know/do when I take it in to activate the phone? Do they insert some card I have to buy from them? I have no idea I'm GSMclueless! Thanks for any help.

If your service provider is in fact GSM (AT&T IS, so that looks good) then probably what you should do is sign up for gsm service with whatever GSM phone they will give you for free as part of a promotion. with the phone they give you, they will also give you a sim card, which looks like a credit card, only its about 1/2 inch by 1/3 inch with a microchip on it. if you have directv, the chip part of the card looks just like the chip part on your card in your receiver. this card holds your information with regard to your service and it also holds your phone contacts (part of them, you can save other contacts to the phone in the v600's case) then just take the sim card out of the free phone and stick it in your v600.
