has anyone bought the data cable for this phone? i bought it and it isnt working. does it need a software cd?

Its my understanding that yes you do need software. You can download from motclub.com. The sights in spanish but its not too tough to find. You have to download version 1.23 first, then version 2.16 and update it. But unfortunately I am talking like I know what I am doing, but i havent even got it to work, it doenst recognize my phone. But this is what they say to do on howardforums. Try it and if it works let me know.

As far as I know, you do need to have software to make it work. I think it's called Mobile Phone Tools or something like that, get like the newer version, 2.xx. I ordered mine from ebay...about $19 for the software and cable, OEM Moto. It's way to expensive on Moto's website or ATTWS. Good luck.
