Wireless modem

has anyone been able to use their phone as a wireless modem?? im trying to find a way to connect my laptop w/o buying the data package. i have the unlimited interenet express plan.

I used mine as a modem last week. It was pretty fast, however I had to get the $29.99 data package. What unlimited plan are you speaking of? They had a $99 Unlimited Data plan..is that the one you have? It all works pretty easily with the mobile phone tools.

Do you have AT&T? I experienced problems using a Nokia Bluetooth phone from AT&T as a wireless modem.. I needed to connect an iPAQ to my home computer and was unable to dial out from the phone to the modem.. The phone included the ‘wireless modem’ feature and it was listed on the information sheet from AT&T but after about 5 hours on the phone to multiple levels of tech support (including hold times) I was informed that the wireless modem capability is disabled on AT&T’s network and the only way to connect is via their wireless internet package.

I am waiting now for T-Mobile to get the v600 as I have already confirmed that I will be able to connect to a remote modem using the Bluetooth wireless modem with the time counting against my...

i have cingular, they are offering a plan with unlim internet. the only thing is, i thought it was possible to log up w/o buying a pc card or getting and addional data plan. cause all of the internet time is useless to me if i can only use it with the phone and not my lap. did you need any special settings, or did it just dial right up??
