How fragile is the V600?

An earlier message from Cassie21 regarding a crack in the black outer plastic of a new V600 concerns me.

How fragile is this phone? Would dropping it onto, say, a hardwood floor likely result in significant damage or cracks?

I had excellent results with a Motorola TimePort 8767: four years of abuse, and its plastic case and screen remained intact just fine (though not the antenna). But I'd hate to live with a very fragile creature for a 2-year contract or more...

Thanks for any insight anyone might have.

The problem that Cassie is a defect that some of the phones have. I had it where the black portion cracked close to the camera lens and a portion of it chipped off.

I sent it into Moto for warranty repair. This doesn't mean that you would have the same problem. AT&T will act as your mediary.

B/c Cassie and I bought unlocked, unlogo-ed phones not from any phone carrier, we have to deal with the manufacturer directly.

Don't worry, it's an awesome phone.
