SMS Delay

Question for anyone living in NYC with an AT&T V600. Does anyone have the following problem? During the morning when anyone sends me an SMS it will arrive instantly however sometime after noon it seems that any SMS sent to me is drastically delayed. I wind up getting a whole bunch of SMS messages hours later. This has been happening everyday during the same time periods. Anyone know why? Thanks.
