battery cover not tight?

I just bought the V600 few days ago, but I noticed today, when looking at the side, theh battery cover on the right side is not as tight as the left side. There is a slight crease. And if I squeeze the cover and phone together, that space can be "sealed." Does anyone else have this problem? If not, I'd like to know so I can return this for a new one while it's still less than 30 days. Thanks.

My V600 from mid Feb has this too. In fact, I haven't heard of anyone getting rid of the gap without bending their metal cover, and even then I'm not too sure about it.

However, even with the gap, the battery cover isn't actually loose. It is tightly-attached, just not flush with the housing. If your back cover is actually loose, like it rattles around, then I'd take it back. Otherwise, it's normal.

But the crease is only bigger on the right side (voicestore button) correct? I know it's nothing big to worry about but considering I just got the phone few days ago, I just want to make sure it's 100% new/working condition.

Correct. Your V600 sounds normal.

I think the battery cover being off 2mm is a standard. It appears on every phone I've seen of it, not to mention what's been listed here in the forum.

If you look at that space where the button is at, it almost looks like it's there to do the voice phonebook recordings. Look and you can see b/c of the space, it allows a small black space to be exposed, as if it was meant to be there to get clear sound when speaking....

After a bunch of playing with this issue, the main problem is with the plastic plug that is over the external antenna connector on the V600. It's very hard to get the back cover on and perfectly aligned with the cutout for the antenna connector.

My suggestion: try the cover with and without the small black cover. when putting on the cover push the black connector up and and wiggle the cover to get the plug centered in the cutout.

Good Luck
