Motorola V600
Cannot view/edit V600 phonebook entries
I've looked all over for an answer to this one, and I'm hoping someone here might be able to help. I have a new (10 day old) V600 from Cingular. I put a few numbers on it by hand, then synced a bunch more from Outlook via Bluetooth and Mobile Phone Tools. The other day I discovered that while I can still open my phonebook just fine, find an entry, and dial that entry, or send an MMS or SMS message, I can no longer open phonebook entries to View or Edit them. That is, when I click on the View option using the soft button, or when I select Edit from the phonebook menu I just get bounced back to the screen I used to get to the phonebook. This problem has only appeared in the last few days; it was not always an issue but I can't think what I mig...

have you tried hitting the upper center menu button while in the view contacts mode?

Can you be more specific? I'm not sure what you mean by "the view contacts mode." I think we're talking about the same thing though.
What I do is, from the default screen I hit the down arrow (or bring up the full menu, hit down and then select) to get to the list of contacts. I use the arrow controls to select a contact, and then I do one of two things:
1) hit the right soft button, which at that time is labeled "View", or
2) hit the upper center menu button, choose "Edit" from the menu, and use the center or soft button to select the "Edit" option.
In either case I am taken immediately back to the menu I opened from the default screen. I am not shown any details of the contact, nor am I given any opportunity to change them. ...
