Please help with Firmware info...

I have read and sifted through endless information on this board about Flashing/Flexing Etc... and you all seem really knowledgable.

My question is can anybody give me a basic breakdown of what I have to do to update my phone? It is Triplets_G.0B.09.1CR_A (no idea what that means)

I see the references to motclub.com but I can't understand the spanish and find the files I need.

Any help would bo so greatly appreciated. Cassie? are you out there? you seem to be one of the pro's on this.

Thanks!
-Josh

How long it takes to receive V600 from ATT?

I order my v600 on Sunday night 4/4. In my web order, I also requested to port my land line to ATT. Does anyone know usually how long it takes to get the phone as well as my land number to switched?

My current land line carrier is Cox Communications of Connecticut. This is the cable company for our area they also offer phone service.

Many thanks!

Calender software

I have been looking for days trying to find software that will link with this phone to update the calender by Blue tooth, but no luck.

I have tried SataPilot, and MobilePhoneTools v1.23 & v2.16. No recognize this phone.

Can anyone post a link or give some suggestions.

Thanks,

Matt

Confirmed...V600 will be available to T-mo and Cingular

Just got an email from my connection at Motorola regarding whether the v600 will be available for T-mobile and Cingular. When I said that there has been a lot of talk about these two carriers getting the phone he said I was correct and it should take place in few weeks! I am at school right now but will post the email up when I get back home. Can't wait for T-mo to get this phone...I have a v600 right now that is unlocked and being used for T-mo but am Having alotta trouble with it. Getting a new one this weekend!!

Tmobile will have phone in 3 weeks, I hope

I heard that Tmobile will have the v600 before the end of the month. The reason for all the bugs and problems with the v600 is because of everyone getting it unlocked. My guy said they set things up so that you have problems with the phone if you get it unlocked. This is what i heard. So good luck all. 🙂

so t-mobile in chicago?

So I guess I should go with T-mobile then? No one's had any problems with it and coverage is better than att and cingular even with the whole merger thing goin on? Unfortunately for me I can't really get outta my verizon contract until around mid-june, does anyone know (for sure) if T-mobile will have it by then? I realize I can always go unlocked unbranded, but it's so much more expensive. And besides, hopefully the rest of you took notice of that article on the first page about a petition to ban companies from locking phones and hopefully it'll pass.

i'll try posting this again, sorry if it's a pain in the ass

Hey all, I have another question for this group of cell phone gurus. Which service is better: t-mobile or at&t? I've heard good and bad things about both. I live in the Chicago suburbs but will be moving to the city in the coming years. So preferably I'd like to hear from someone in this area but I'd gladly take the advice of anyone that can explain which one is better and for what reasons. Also, what about sprint? What service do they run on? Actually, could someone just list the service providers and what they run on and which the v600 should work on? I know it sounds like a lot but I'm sure to someone who knows it won't take too much time outta yer day. And while I'm at it, since I'm with verizon right now do you think I should say f^ck i...

no lights to indicate on

Unless I am doing something wrong if you are in a dark room there is no indication the phone is on. I know it illuminates a red light when charging but not when it is not charging. 😕

MP3 tone websites? You don't need them.

I don't really understand why there seems to be a mad rush for sites for mp3 ringtones. If you are looking for original music tones, like the ones that come on the phone made by motorola, okay, then I get it. But if you are looking for "snippets" of song by recording artists, you don't need to search and God forbid, pay for them. Anyone who has the v600 can make there own mp3 ringtones from any CD in existence. I tunes works on both IBM and mac and is free. As far as editing the track down to a size usable for a ringtone, it's a piece of cake. If you have a macintosh, you can use Wiretap, a freedownload, available from macupdate.com. if you have a IBM/NT clone you can use goldwave, available from goldwave.com i think. once you have t...

New Faceplates

One of the V600 Gurus on here told about a site to get V600 faceplates. My opinion...1 Good, 2 Bad things

Good-THEY LOOK AWESOME.
a black sort of mirrored faceplate, really nice, really shiny. A chrome mirrored one, looks great as well, looks like it might get finger prints and get dirty quick. And a nice white one.

Bad-1 $99.00 AND UP!
couldn't believe it, this guy is ACTUALLY selling them for 99.00, 103.00 and i think i seen one for like 120.00!! what in John Waynes ass is so good about these faceplates? PURE GOLD?

Bad-2 NONE AVAILABLE
if your actually looking to get one, he has none as of right now. But keep looking Metalfaceplates.com

Hope this helps! let me know if anyone gets one
