Download addresses into smartphone???

Can anyone help me get my Outlook addresses to my I1 phone such that they are fully usable??? I bought this phone assuming I could download my Outlook addresses into a smartphone. The DejaOffice app did that, but it doesn't allow me to do much (i.e., it sets up a very weak seperate app that as far as I can tell, can't text more than one person at a time, can't search by just typing in a name, and can't use the voice function to find anything). In other words, by switching to Deja Office, I lose most of the functionality of a decent smartphone. So then I turned to google, which supposedly has a relationship with Boost Mobile. I downloaded my entire address book to google (which isn't my first choice, as I know that it exposes me to a world of hackers). I was under the impression that the close relationship between google and boost mobile would mean I could download the addresses to my I1. Apparently I was wromg. There seems to be no way to download my (now publicly exposed) address book to my phone. My phone remains without a decent address book (i.e., one that can be addressed without scrolling through the whole list). Does anyone know haw to import the google list to the real address book of the i1, or how to make the DejaOffice work like the phonebook of a real smart phone?

I had the BB contacts all sync'd with the Outlook native address book but, search as I might, I could not figure out how to xfer the Windows address book to the i1 and I revolted at the idea of punching in a hundred contacts on a touch screen. I appreciate the 'DejaOffice' hint and will try that out of desperation. Any other hints would be really appreciated.

Also, the i1 POP3 service deletes all e-mail messages from the server as soon as they are downloaded and makes them unavailable for my regular laptop - and then doe...
