Is The Droid Charge a Slug?
-On the Quandrant, which covers a variety of calculations and graphics, it is showing up at just over half the performance of the HTC Thunderbolt or the 3G Incredible 2. The number are about 2500 for a dual core Atrix, 1800 for the Thunderbolt, and 1000 for the Droid Charge.

-Another test by PCWorld showed battery life to be WORSE than the Thunderbolt running the same load (it was tested playing movies over LTE) even though it has a bigger battery and the advertised 'up to' number is much higher

These modification provides the Galaxy S models with performance better than the Thunderbolt and sometimes extra features. A popular mod is to get access to tethering.
Why would Samsung and Verizon (my experience is that it is more likely Verizon) have crippled the Droid Charge's performance to the point where this is an issue.
No decision yet on the Charge but the demo unit certainly didn't fail to get my attention.
One tester evaluated batteries by streaming video over LTE; the two were very similar with the Thunderbolt outlasting the Droid Charge.
The Droid Charge's benchmark scores must be due to bloatware; rooted and rom'd Galaxy S models with the same processor regularly equal or exceed the numbers posted by the Thunderbolt.
