FINAL nail in the coffin...
Let me start by saying I was a huge fan of this phone (specs) when it was originally touted. I was one of the first at my local Costco to pick one up with the accessory bundle. I was totally geeked to pick it up. From day one it was a little glitchy... I thought, "Hey, it's no big deal... Look what this thing can do". After close to a year of living with the phone I've grown to dislike it...not hate. I've followed all the news on how the phone would receive OTA updates, blaa, blaa, blaa.... To no avail. Well recently the phone decided to not connect to 4G service no matter what. VZW said this could be cured with a new SIM card. I said ok, send me one. After receiving the new card, nothing changed. UGGGH!! Just so happen my earpiece speaker went out around two days after receiving the SIM - sooo, I placed another call to VZW. About 2 days later my "new" (factory refurbished) phone arrived. After spending about a 1/2 hr on the phone with support I was up and running... sort of. I was having the same issues - limited 4G. In the past I had great service both at home and at work. Another call was put in to VZW. The rep I spoke to said: "Oh yes, we're aware of the connectivity issues. We can offer you a replacement phone of the Pantec Breakout or the LG Spectrum"... I've opted for the Spectrum. VZW was nice enough to send me the car kit also. Hopefully the new phone doesn't earn the name "Rectum" (instead of Spectrum)... Bionic = PITA.

Since this post, I've received (2) LG Spectrums. WOW, what a pile of dung - is all I can say. I'm going back to the Bionic (pretty much my only choice). I'll keep my fingers crossed for an ICS update.
