Palm Treo 600 (CDMA)
Treo 600-610 with Goldmine?
I have been using the Treo 300 with Sprint and can't wait for Verizon to offer the Treo. However, my company has implemented GOLDMINE 6.5 and I am trying to find anyone who has experience working with PDAs - possibly even the Treo - and Goldmine. More importantly, I am trying to find a PDA system to work with Goldmine - yet even the software source says that none really work with PDAs well.

I'm curious who said none work right, because I, too, an a GM user (sm bus I own) and plan to try using the Treo 600-610 with GM shortly after Verizon comes out with the Treo.
How bad have they said it is? Did the GM forum members say that, or GM themselves?

My support company here says that there is no good external software. They say that everything synchs out to the Palm but you cannot synch back (e.g, adding new info) because Palm based products are user centric (the owner) vs. contact centric. That's a real bummer. You would have to record all changes you would want to make on the go in notes or something and then manually enter them when you got back to your computer - as I understand it.

I have no experience with this so can only send you to the GM forum and relate my very minimal exposure, which is that GM has been syncing with Palm for years (for whatever that's worth) and is a top-rated program that's gone through some very nice evolution, and that a few years ago a GM guru repeatedly said that the Notes field would sync fine (that may have been relative only to laptops and/or other remote systems for all I know) AS LONG AS you use the Notes tab exactly as it's designed to be used (headers for each entry are automatically formatted by GM).
