dust under front caller ID screen?

that happens to me you can remove the front cover. Open the phone and there are 2 little dots below the screen remove them with a small screw drive and there are to small philips head screws there take those out. then you will have to pry on each side with a small flat head and just wipe the screen clean then snap it back on. Hope that helps
Just know by doing this you are voiding your warranty in case anything goes wrong...if VZW recognizes this, you'll be out of luck...I've learned the hard way on another phone in a prior lifetime...

It would be your word against theirs if this ever became an issue. If you forced it they would not fight you since they would not be able to prove it. Plus, if you have the warranty coverage from Verizon it is "no fault" so you could smash the phone with a hammer and still get it replaced.

Yaeh but couldn't you like seriously mess up the phone doing that? Couldn't you just take it to a Verizon Wireless store and have the tech department fix it for you so that yo dont mess up your phone.
I would do this so if they mess up the phone, then it's THEIR responsibility versus yours...they probably won't open up the phone either, as they know it'll be a void of warranty, but strongly requesting they fix the situation is more doable.
Taking apart the phone yourself will void the warranty....
First, I tried taking mine apart, but couldn't pull the plate off once I unscrewed the screws. It felt like I was forcing it, so I decided not to try my luck.
Second, once I hit this dead end, I just took a compressed air can and shot it at the edge of the "glass" of the external display. This blew almost all the dust out.
Anyone else have similar experiences?
I have got a better idea. You can get your new phone without paying even a peny. And of course, Verizon Wireless will transfer your phonebook for free. Contact me at [email protected]. I will show you how.
