i followed emonks howto.. and when i get the text message i never hear my midi file play and i don't get the option to save the sound.

Tell us what you're doing specifically so we can determine where you're going astray!

ok i have the midi file downloaded on my computer. Its a poly one. Then I log on to vzwpix and select create.. enter my phone number. I then put a subject.. click on from PC and then add the audio. Then i send it.
Then on my phone i get a text message that says you got a pix message and goto this website to view it. I can resend myself another one if you want just what the message says

That's odd. When I get these messages, it gives me the option to view my message on my phone. When I do this, I hit "view" and then it'll load. Once done loading, it'll give me the option to "view" the tones (pix messages). As each tone comes up, I save it as a sound and then set up my ringers...
Oh...wait...just thought of something...do you already have a package of 20 pix/mo. or anything like that? If not, you may need to contact VZW to activate your pix receiving capabilities at 25 cents per message....
You may be getting the TXT message version because your phone isn't activated to accept pix yet....if this is the case, get it activated and then you shouldn't have any more problems!
