Renaming Contact groups doesn't work

I have repeatedly renamed some of the groups in my phones contact list but they always revert back to the original names. For example, if you rename "Friends" to "Buds" it will eventually change back to "Friends" again. Is there a way to prevent this?

Yeah, I've seen it to. I was going back and forth between the phone and the phonebook manager, I thought that was why. I guess it is just soemthing the phone does. I finally gave up. it is annoying
