Ringtone quality?
How does the A670 compare in the way of ringtones? Besides the apparent 16 built-in ringtones, what can be uploaded to it?
Can the phone only hold 16 ring-tones? Can any ring-tones be deleted? Do the built-in ring tones sound better than what can be uploaded?
MIDI files are ok, but they don't sound all that great, do they? I would swear that some of the ringtones I've heard lately on some phones were actually WAV files--they sound that good to me, anyway.

You can upload ringtones via the vzpix.com website, I've uploaded about 10 so far and all work without a problem. These are .mid files BTW...when I tried a .wav file it gave an error when opening the msg.
You can also download ringtones (some midi some another format that seem like waves) using the Get It Now feature...but it's not cheap.

Thanks, again. Is there a charge to upload your .MID files to vzpix.com and then download them to the phone?
What is Get It Now? Is it an optional service? From the brochure, it seems to overlap with the PIX and TXT programs and promotions.

There is a charge to 'send' a image or .mid from vzwpix.com to your phone. I think it's only 2 cents, but please call VZ and check as I'm not 100% sure. I heard someone else say it was 25 cents.
As for get it now, it's applications you can download to your phone that allow you to get ringtones, photos, check email, directions, weather, etc. Each app has a specific charge (say $2.99 a month). You can find it by pressing the direction pad to the right or under the Menu then #4.
