Is it possible for me to say, buy just the phone off like ebay? and then get a plan..or do you have to buy the phone with the plan? cuz i wanna get this phone but i realized i can get this for soo much cheaper if i get it off of ebay...

I have been watching these phones on ebay for about 2 weeks. Like you, I wanted this phone. I have seen them go for as little as $199 + shipping. All the way up to $350 + shipping. I lucked out. I was able to upgrade through verizon for $169 with a $50 rebate. I will be putting my a530 on ebay and when all is said and done, hopefully I will make a little money. Hope this helps.
