Thinking of a new phone.

I'm thinking of getting the Samsung SCH-A670, but from hearing other people's comments about the battery life, I'm not so sure anymore. Is it worth money? 😕 I've also read someone's post about getting the phone for free because of the 2-year agreement, I wonder if that can apply to me. 🙄 Maybe I should just get the SCH-A530 😛

Don't do it!! I had the a530 and hated it. It had it's issues too. It constantly dropped my calls,it's too small,it doesn't have any cool feature's like the 670. It is just a nasty little phone. I was in my local verizon store the other day to pick up a case and they don't even carry the 530 in the store. I have had the 670 for a week now and LOVE it. This is just my personal opinion and the bad experience I had with the 530. Hope this helps with your decision. Good luck..

Hmmm...I see, I see. I guess I'm on the 670 more than the 530 now, but the battery situation for the 670 sounds bad. I wonder how much the extension battery costs. Anyone know?

🙂
I have seen it on various websites for as little as $40.00. You just have to do a google search on OEM, Samsung SCH-A670, batteries.

Just a little update on the extended battery.I found them at cellphonemall.net for only $32. I ordered 2 for the two a670's we just got.

Are the extended batteries thicker or heavier than the standard batteries?? I would love to change the battery, but don't want to sacrifice the weight or style of the phone...

Thanks in advance!

The regular battery is 70 grams and the extended life one is 120 grams so a difference of 50 grams which is next to nothing. Also the battery is slightly thiker but worth it to almost double talk time and idle time.

I have the a670 and don't find any problems with the battery life...I'm a light to moderate phone users and can usually get 1-2 days with the battery staying on a full 3 bars of charge!! If you use the camera and the bells and whistles often, then you will use up your battery faster, but that's true with any phone...But for actual phone usage, the battery seems to hold up on its own...

HTH...

I see. I don't use the camera that often, so I guess it will be okay. Thank you for the information.
