Car Charger Problem

I purchased two Audiovox 9900's today. So far so good. I also purchased an Audiovox CLC-9900 Vehicle Charger (Verizon #9900VPCAUD).

The charger doesn't work in my 2004 Honda Accord. It doesn't go deeply enough into either the cigarette lighter recepticle or the spare power outlet located in the console. There is therefore no electrical contact.

It tested fine on the bench back at the Verizon store. I brought it home and tried it in my other vehicle a Subaru Legacy. It worked like a charm.

It's a poorly designed Vehicle Charger that will not fit a vehicle as popular as the Accord. Anyone contemplating purchasing this charger should check to see if it works in YOUR vehicle before completing the purchase.

I may be wrong but I think Honda and a few other car companies, have recently switched to a larger cigarette lighter. There is a small adapater that you will need. Suprised your dealer didnt ask you about your car. Anyway, if your cell store doesn't have them check with radio shack, they only run a few bucks.

For what it's worth, the charger fits in a 2003 for Expedition and 2004 Lexus ES400 with no problem.......hmmmmmm
