When the phone is in the Orginal holster can u flip the phone open. I like being able to because I am in my car alot with work and like to keep my phone cliped to the visor and be able to flip open for speakerphone...?

No, but if you get the leather case, it will do exactly what you want. It has a Good Strong Clip with 8 position rotation and a quick release button that lets you leave the clip on the visor and just take the phone.

Wrong...

You can place the 9900 into the holster at two positions... fully set in at the bottom so the flip cannot be opened... or half set-in at the bottom so you can open the flip... the plastic holster is designed for this dual functionality... there are even dimples in the inside base of the holster to keep the phone stable in the half set-in position...

Try it, you'll like it...

I move it to the half in position and clip it to my visor as I get into my car... works great...

thanks for answering this, so your saying even when its in the 2nd position, its secure and closes all the way. I have a CDM 8600 and I could put it in the holster so that it opened but it could be wobbly and wouldn't close all the way..

I confirmed MrBill is correct!!

I had the LG VX4400 and it suffered from the same fault.

This is much better. Obviously designed to accommodate both ways.
