Will 6230 play WMA files?
Another long-shot question. Any Audible.Com users out there try to listen to Audible (*.aa) files on the 6230? I listen to the NY Times every morning on the train, and it would be great to carry one less device.
I am a prospective buyer, and am considering the Motorola MPx220 due to it's WMA and future Audible.Com compatibility ("In Development" according to Audible). But the MPx220 gets horrible reviews (some even with 1.x firmware), where the 6230 has almost all positive reviews.
Thanks in advance- I've learned a lot from these boards. 😳 -bryan
SIDE NOTE FOR AUDIBLE USERS:
Since posting my question, I've found how to convert Audible.Com *.aa files to MP3. I am also an audible.com subscriber and plan to do the same. However, if you are listening to a 3-hour-long MP3 and then need to take a phone call or turn off your phone, do you lose your place in the MP3? How do you get back to your spot if you are in the middle of a book?
My next phone will need to be able to at least fast forward. Auditions will begin if/when the Amazon rebate gets here...
That's too bad...if they had that one feature, I'd get this phone for sure.
