7 Cent E-Bay Data Cable - My experience
I bought one of those cheap data cables on E-bay, got Moto Mobile Phone Tools and did not have any problems copying pics and ringers to my phone!!! Works like a charm. Bought my cable for 7 cents + s/h ($5.99) on e-bay. So, if your looking for a data cable, no need to spend a lot of $$$.

1) Where did you get the Moto Mobile Phone Tools?
2) By copying "ringers" to your phone, are you referring to MP3's?

MP3 ringers appear to work on my phone. Just downloaded one from motclub.com. Works fine! Sounds good, too!!!
As for mobile phone tools, Motorola sells it online.

Are you using Windows XP?
I am having trouble getting it to detect driver. It says that it is not accessible or in use by another application. You can manually select the v400 but you can't do anything because it says it is not connected. HELP!
