No MMS

OK, I have read thrugh all of the forums, and I cannot figure out what to do. I was able to send a picture to my e-mail address once, ever since then I have been unable to send anything anywhere. I either get a "could not connect to server" message, or a "connection unsuccessful" message. I do have the MMS option on my payment plan, so what am I doing wrong. Is there something I need to set up? When I try to get on the wireless interent it takes 2 seconds, but this will not work. Please help. Why can't I just take a picture, send it to a friend, why does everything need to be setup or activated? Just frustrated, thanks in advance for the help.
