Mobile Phonetools Problem
Hi,
I've followed all the directions at http://snow.prohosting.com/gman1025/v400/ for setting up my data cable and getting Mobile Phonetools running and everything works fine. I can access my phonebook, calendar, send an SMS, etc. with Mobile Phonetools.
But, for some reason no folders show up whenever I go into Mobile Explorer in the multimedia center. Does anyone know what might be the problem?

I had the same problem myself with the cable I got from Cingular. It's the wrong type of cable if you want to transfer multimedia. It's got a "lump" partway down it, right? Cingular themselves and some other stores sell those type cables for inflated prices and they wil not transfer ringtones/graphics/etc. Why? Go figure. My guess is the "lump" is some sort of filter. What you need is just a straight data cable with no filter on it. The easiest and cheapest place to get one of those is ebay. Just search for "V400 data cable". That's where I got the one I use and it works great.

Thanks for the help. I'm using a data cable from cingular with that lump in the middle. I'll go looking for some cables on ebay and see what happens.

AHHH! I have the same problem but I have a cord that I got off Ebay! No lump in the middle, a generic usb cable. I have the updated version of MPT 3.11 and I dont know whats wrong. I cant get the mobile explorer to work with ringtones/graphics. HEEELP!
