Motorola V400

can't download pics, please help!

i have purchased a mobile phone tools vers. 1.2 then updated with the version 2.21b. I can not access the pictures on my phone although I do have access to the phone and the internet via my laptop. The pictures folder shows up in my media browser but it is shaded out gray. Is there something else i need before i can download my pics? I have 98% full of pics on my phone and don't want to lose them. PS..i tried clicking and dragging but it always times out.

What kind of cable do you have? Does it have a "lump" in the middle?

yeah, I agree with Brefflan, it sounds like maybe you purchased the Future Dial cable. This is a common problem with this particular cable.
