Full-on production models with the latest firmware and warranties are rolling out of the factory right now and will be in stores in a couple of weeks.

anyone that said "in the next two weeks" in June must be psychic, the damn thing wasn't even announced until July. I'm seeing prices poppin up in places like Cnet, so I'm assuming that it's comin soon. I haven't heard anything yet from Moto. Nor have I heard anything about it being on the way in my store, but then I'm pretty new to the store so I'm more worried about learnin the ropes and the procedures than what phone's comin out when.

Not to mention this was slated for a 3rd quarter release, and while technically the third quarter's now over, it's still not too late to make that close to realistic.

I too have my own store.... I have a close personal friend that works for Motorola in Houston,tx...their job is to drive around the southwest and midwest and give training on new phones and projected release dates. The project release date is mid nov to dec. Name one phone that was released early from Motorola.... Also gsmarena and phonescoop that have it slated as 3rd quarter just proves what I am saying.

The phone is pretty neat... it's the size of a motorola v600 without the antenna. It's a tad thicker. The auido quailty is pretty good... And I got it to work with att gprs,mms,and sms perfectly.. All in all it's a cool phone. The keyboard is much easier than a treo or sidekick.

Oh and the one I got came with a FULL HTML browser app...

Let me reiterate this for you...

If a well known company puts an item up for pre-order on there website...with a policy that states that if the item doesnt stock and ship within 4-6 weeks...the money will be refunded...do you seriously think that "Mid-November-December" is likely? Or I take you just think Amazon is going to have all these people pay money for a pre-order...just to return it later?

Give it up...Cingular reps have been all over Howard Forums saying that the A630 was in their systems to receive shipment on the 8th of October.

So either keep your promo phone or sell it for a reasonable price....because nobody is going to pay rape prices for a phone that will available in a matter of weeks.

Well lets do some math.... today is oct 1. 4-6 weeks would be 1st to mid nov.

So 1st to mid november.... or mid nov to december.... who the **** cares... not me.. I have actually decided to keep this phone. I just wanted to prepare to sell it if i didn't like it.. =P

I guess only time will tell.... And as to these people who work at cingular... I actually have another friend who is the rep for the whole state of oklahoma.... They still haven't had ANY conformation of any delivery...and they ALWAYS know.... so really I guess only time will tell.

And by the way... I was in no means trying to RAPE anybody on a price.... It's called supply and demand. All I was saying was i could put it on ebay and sell it for 650 easy ....that's twic...

you have never heard of motorola in houston,tx? well that's where the rep lives. They don't have to have a large motorla factory in Houston just to have a rep stationed there to service the midwest ya know .... and after all I do have the a630 to prove it =)

well their business card said houston,tx when I went to the t-mobile training and met them for the 1st time. That was about 3 months ago...

So I don't know what to tell you... I don't know how they work it with motorola.

I just tell you what i know because i never heard we have Motorola in Houston TX. Maybe you were right. Also i saw all new Motorola phone at work.

V620 is not coming out yet, just send me email then i will let you later when the phone come out. Also i do not how much it will cost, if i buy from Motorola with out service will be more cheap than outside.

First, I didn't say 2 weeks. I said a couple of weeks. That could be 2, that could be 4. And people haven't been saying that since June, either. The first predictions were late August/early September.

Second, your source is wrong. You aren't the only person with sources.

Take your buggy, unwarrantied pre-production phone to Ebay where people don't know any better.

Frankly I could care less when the damn thing comes out...it'll get here when it gets here, it'll be moderately priced, and I like it, but I'll be just as happy with my t637.

I, myself never said 4 weeks nor the beginning of Nov., and notice my last post....AROUND the 16th, not a definite date. All I have said since I started my job as a rep is that the info that I've been given say "mid-nov".

I'm hearing early December now, but that may be someone being overly conservative because they were wrong about early November. Then again, it's still early November right now, but getting closer to mid November every day.

Did you miss all the press about the mis-aligned camera? From what I've seen it wasn't bad, but was enough that they had to delay the phone to fix it so that they wouldn't get complaints. I've heard that you might not even notice unless you were really into the camera phone thing.

Glad you found a sucker to pay $650 for it. Too bad for Motorola that they took too long getting it out... could have sold it for $300 easily during Q3 as originally scheduled, but there are far cooler phones coming out next month that ...

what phones coming out are cooler than the A630? I have been looking and havent seen any that compare except the nokia but its too long and doofy looking
