What is the limit for phone book groups?

Love my vx7000. Strange issue thouogh...
I was trying or organize my phone book by assigning each contact a group membership. I am getting the message, "Member list full" whenever I reach 10 contacts in a group.
Is this the limit? I find it hard to believe that LG gives us 500 contact buckets, but only allows groups of 10 members.
