Couple Questions - Help Appreciated

With the LG VX7000, does anyone know how to make T9 the default for text messaging so that I do not have to constantly change from Abc mode to T9.

Also, I purchased a rapid car charger through eBay that said it fit the VX7000 phone. I don't see how it can fit unless it goes into the headset input. Does anyone know of any hidden places where this generic car charger may connect to my phone?

Thanks!
Sarah

Sarah,

I had a similar problem. I purchased the black version of the LG 7000 versus the blue one at a Verizon store. I also purchased the travel charger without inside assuming it would fit. When I got it home and took it out I found out that it didn't fit because LG modified the bottom of the phone to only use the square opening instead of either the square or prong. I had to take it back and purchase it from the accessories department at Verizon. I think you may have to do the same.

I hope that helps.

Wait a minute... you're saying the black 7000 doesn't use the 5 volt charger with the itty bitty round prong plug to one side of the phone data port????

Nope, black 7000 uses travel charger bottom plug to charge. As for defaulting to T9 press the left soft key (top left key) to go into messeging, then left soft key again for settings, and then 7 for entry mode.

I'm returning an LG 6100 because the phone keeps breaking up and am trying to decide between an LX 7000 or a Samsung a670. The LX 7000 seems like a lot of fun but I would like good reception first and fun second. Any thoughts?
