Concerning NE2....

As some may or may not know, I do work for verizon wireless. While its true that a customer can only redeem the NE2 credit up to 6 months after their contract end date, Im sure someting can still be done. If Verizon has had a customer for 10 years (even before Verizon), Im willing to bet that we would bend over backwards to maintain you as a customer. Ive seen it a million times. This is the only company Ive worked for where they will do what it takes to maintain our customers (within reason). Even if you cannot get anywhere with cst service, ask to speak with Loyalty Management. They are the ones who can make exceptions. Hope this helps.

Even if your NE2 credit expires, you are still eligible for an upgrade. They never take that away. The upgrade can be redeemed at any VZW retailer, not just a VZW company owned store. Sometimes a different retailer will have a lower retail price, so even if you don't get the hundred dollar credit you still get the phone relatively cheap; two hundred off the full retail. I work for Radioshack and we don't participate in NE2, but we sell more upgrades than VZW stores do. If you are happy with the service you've had for the last 10 years, is switching providers really worth it? I'd rather pay the price difference between the NE2 and a normal upgrade, get the phone you want and keep the service you like.

😁 Thanks, "jbgoff"! I was about to reply with the same message! One of the many things that makes Verizon Wireless such a great company is the way it serves it's customers! It would be a shame to lose ten years of loyalty over a misunderstanding!
